Context
A concern was raised about Tech Committee Division Managers appearing as an option in the committee head nominations flow/list.
Concern
As currently understood, Division Managers are appointed by the Tech Head rather than nominated through the committee head nominations process. While this could theoretically be changed to allow nominations, the current preference is for Division Manager selection to remain internal to the Tech Committee.
The reasoning is that the Tech Head and people already familiar with the Tech Committee are better positioned to understand the committee's structure, needs, and members when appointing Division Managers.
Requested change
Remove Tech Committee Division Managers from the committee head nominations list/flow unless the process is intentionally being changed to make those roles nomination-based.
Thumbs up emoji
