Summary

Remove the Accepted badge/chip shown under nominee names on the public elections page.

Context

On pages like /elections/spring-2026-primary-election, accepted nominees already appear as candidates because they accepted their nomination. The Accepted badge, especially the small green status dot styling, feels redundant and visually out of step with the rest of the candidate card design.

Requested change

  • Do not show the Accepted badge/chip under nominee names on election candidate cards.
  • Apply this consistently across the cards, including running mate cards if they use the same visible Accepted chip.
  • Keep non-accepted statuses where they are still useful in nomination/admin/invite flows.

Likely implementation areas

  • next/components/elections/NominationStatusBadge.tsx defines the reusable accepted status badge styling.
  • next/app/(main)/elections/ElectionPublicClient.tsx renders election page candidate/running mate card UI and includes an inline Accepted chip for running mates.

Why

The badge does not add useful information in this context: nominees would not be displayed as candidates unless they had accepted. Removing it should make the cards cleaner and more consistent with the rest of the page.
